What a treat to go to Wanderlust. I have always wanted to come here. And Cocotte - Wanderlust's resident restaurant is so super good - you have to go and try.

Located on the ground level of Wanderlust, Cocotte serves up unpretentious, rustic French cuisine in a casual and comfortable setting.

Almost every table ordered Cocotte's famous Mussels Mariniere. These are Live Blue Mussels cooked in a heady mix of white wine, garlic & parsley. Yummmmy. Cocotte gave a generous serving of mussels broth which I slurped up like a soup.

Cocotte's signature Poulet Roti is worth the 45 minute wait because it is too good. This is a whole roast chicken, using cage free, antibiotic & hormone free chickens. Served with seasonal vegetables & pan gravy. You must dip the chicken into the pan gravy because this is the best gravy ever !

Is right at the beginning of Jalan Besar. You can get there via a short walk from Boon Keng or Lavender MRT stations. Kam Leng was first established in 1927 by a mysterious owner whose identity remains unknown. The owners have painstakingly restored the place with a lot of careful detailing. Guests will enjoy a nice retro-modern fusion experience. Kam Leng is so pretty and peaceful. Was so quiet inside (even with busy Jalan Besar on the outside). Is super clean and neat.

A surprisingly tranquil café & bar with really good & fresh food. Very quiet. A great place to run away to for some "me time". The "Besar Breakfast" is so good - quality sausages, quality bacon back and bacon strips, tasty Mexican beans, sautéed mushrooms, fresh hand cut potatoes, eggs anyway you want it (including poached). Suprette's also famous for its hamburgers. These thick netted socks are so adorable and hard to find. They come in 4 colors - Lilac, Yellow, Black and White. I've been wearing them for quite abit with my Dr.M Mary Janes and they are so comfortable.

4. Girly Socks from NEY
